The Nomad navigation/travel tower for the 2024-25 HQV FE is redesigned from the ground up. Only 2 parts are the same as on the previous models, the OEM KTM Rally screen and the internal crossmembers. The rest is all new.
The KTM screen we use is the same simply because it’s still the best one around, and the only one which has been tested and developed in a both a windtunnel and real world racing. The version we have used for years, and still use today, has the best wind protection of all the available models. If there would have been a better one then we would have used it as we’ve redesigned the tower anyway. Another reason we use an original KTM screen is that if you ever damage one, you can get a new one directly from every KTM dealer, without long distance shipping costs, wherever in the world you may be. The Nomad tower itself is all new. It all starts with a new super strong, billet machined frame clamp, which not only creates a solid foundation to mount the tower to, but also forms a brace around the headstock and thereby makes the headstock even stronger. We’ve positioned the screen a little closer to the rider and a fraction higher than on previous models, both for improved airflow over the screen but more so to limit unwanted airflow coming off the new front mudguard. It took months to develop and make and test several prototypes, but the end result is our best navigation/travel tower ever! The design of the tower and the machined frame clamp create a super stable structure. This stability further prevents turbulent air coming off the edge of the screen. |

We’ve enhanced the user friendliness as well. The gps/navigation equipment is closer to the rider for easier access. At the same time there is more room for navigation equipment due to our optional new billet machined gps/rally mount.
The wiring is all inside the tower, protected and where it should be. Access to the wiring is easy via the removable dash panel and an easy to remove cover under the tower. What remained are the 4 sturdy European made switches, which can handle heavy loads without having to use fragile relays. There’s an option for one or two double weather proof USB ports (so 4 USB charging points in total) and a DIN 12V point. There’s also a new key ignition from US manufacturer Sicass Racing fitted as standard on all new Nomad towers, complete with plug and play wiring. |
No cutting, no grinding, no welding, no drilling required. Everything bolts in place.

The wiring in the tower is all standard KTM by the way. No need to chop and change the KTM wiring loom. The headlights come standard with their own plug and play wiring harness too.
The new Nomad navigation/travel tower for the 2024 EXC 450/500 is the result of feedback we received from test riders and many months of designing, prototypes and testing. It’s new from the ground up. All the features you love from the previous towers are still there and improved even further. They are easy to install and can be repaired when things go bad out on the road. The previous Nomad towers have gained a reputation for their strength, the new generation is even stronger. We’ve enhanced their already high stability even more. And, unfortunately uncommon these days, the overall quality of finish has improved too with details such as hard anodising all parts. The new Nomad travel/navigation tower is genuinely our best tower ever. |

All OEM functions are retained. The headlights comes complete a plug-and-play wiring kit. Additionally you’ll find room for four optional weatherproof sturdy switches which can be used for extra lights, heated grips or to control an extra 12V outlet for heated clothing for instance. They can switch 15A without the need for a relay.

Baja Designs Squadron Lights
2x 26W LED lights produce 3,150 lumens each of pure power to light up the trail .Low beam is a wide driving pattern that offers a 42° flattened horizontal beam for the ultimate in comfort lighting. While High beam is a longer and narrower 9° beam for illumination further down the trail or road. The Spot pattern is designed to be used in conjunction with the wide driving pattern, giving you a total of 6,300 lumens. Useable beam range: 150 m Weight: 680 grams |

2x10 Watt Single Source LED Pods featuring a powerful LED Halo Ring on the outer rim of the IRIS Reflector. 15° E-marked Approved Beam Pattern.
